THE GOSPEL LESSON: John 6:26-35
Jesus is the bread of life. Life is not about seeing how much bread we can acquire for this life, but rather about securing that bread which leads to eternal life. To work the works of God we will believe in Jesus, whom God has sent into the world that we might live by Him. Lord, give us this Bread always!
THE OLD TESTAMENT LESSON: Jeremiah 18:1-10
The Lord is in control of the destiny of all people. He possesses the power to bless a people with prosperity if they live in repentance and faith, or to bring judgment upon them if they live in wickedness and impenitence. He does respond to faith on the one hand and impenitence on the other. May God have mercy upon us and bless us with faith, that we may walk in His ways and be blessed.
