THE EPISTLE LESSON: Hebrews 2:10-15
We see Jesus who was humbled for us, and made a little lower than the angels, that He might suffer death for everyone. Following His death He was also exalted. He was raised from the dead and all things were put in subjection under Him. In this way the sufferings and humiliation of Jesus not only completed His earthly mission of redeeming us, but also has made Him perfect, or complete as our mediator who makes intercession for us, and assures our salvation.
