THE GOSPEL LESSON: John 21:1-14
This is the inspired record of the Jesus’ third appearance to the disciples following His resurrection confirming the reality of His resurrection. He reached out to them in loving concern, and provided for them in their need, demonstrating the power of His presence in their lives.
THE OLD TESTAMENT LESSON: Ezekiel 34:11-16
The Lord will gather His people from the nations and care for them as a faithful shepherd cares for His flock. The Lord shall bring His people into a good spiritual pasture where they shall receive the care and nourishment they need for life. The Lord will seek out what was lost and driven away, that is those who neglected the Lord and His saving truth. He pledges to bind up that which was broken, the sufferings that their sin brought upon them. The Lord heals and the Lord protects His flock.
